Sisterly Love

Jadyn and Jordyn have lots of love for each other or maybe it's just because they are use to sharing space.
Anyway they seem to like to lay on each other and neither one minds when the other is laying on her (most of the time). They are just too funny when they do this.

Kids Will Say the Darndest Things

Oh some of the things our children say! Today as I was changing Jadyn and getting the girls ready to go pick up big brother Colton from Preschool, Jordyn was wandering around talking and so I stopped to listen to what she was saying. It was not hard to understand her as she seemed to be talking pretty clear. And what I heard was very cute and funny! I got quite a laugh out of it. Listen to the video and see if you can understand her.



Just in case you couldn't understand her, she is saying "shake your bottom". She was saying this the rest of the afternoon and all night. Not sure where she picked this up at but it is funny. (Sorry for the noisey TV)

Happy Halloween!

Hope it was as happy for you as it was for us. The kids loved being in their costumes and going trick or treating. Colton was a rodeo clown which was so fitting for him and the girls were bumble bees again this year. They were little enough last year that I just decided to dress them in the same thing again this year. We took the kids to Alma to go trick or treating and did lots of walking. Every house we went to thought that our three kids were just the cutest. And well I have to agree! Every one had to ask if the girls were really twins and how old they were. They did so good for this being their first real trick or treating experience. We told Colton that after some one gave him candy that he needed to say "thank you" so before long Jordyn picked up on it and started saying "thank you, bye-bye". It was so cute to listen to her say it. Jadyn wouldn't say anything, just take the candy and she was on her way. We then headed out to my partent's house in Upland so that they could get some treats from grandma and papa (and some supper too). By the end of the night we had 3 exahusted children! We all had fun and ended up with way too much candy!!

Colton's First day of Preschool

Tuesday was Colton's first day of preschool. It all seemed ok until we got to school. Once we were inside Colton did not want to talk to his teacher, he tried to hide behind mom and run away. This made it even harder on mom. I was alreday having a hard time with the fact that my little boy is growing up and starting school. Then he acts like he doesn't want to be there. The first few minutes were difficult on us both. But it did not take long before he was talking to the teacher and was ok with me leaving. So with chocked back tears I left and went back home. When I picked him up his teacher said he did great and he said he had fun. He told me "I didn't make a buddy today" in which I reasured him that it takes time and maybe Thursday he could try again. Then while driving home he tells me "I didn't get a girlfriend". After a moment of laughter, I told him that he didn't need one of those for a really long time. So over all his first day went well and he told me he is ready to go back Thursday. If he keeps this attitude we will have a great school year!

Lake Time

We have now lived in Nebraska for 8 months and we really like it up here. We have found many different things to do in our spare time as a family and one of those things is going to the Harlan County Lake. We only live about 30 minutes from where we like to go swim and play in the water. It makes it very nice to just take an afternoon and go hang out and have some good quality family fun. We don't have a boat, but just playing in the water is fun for the kids. Here is our latest trip and Colton's first time to wear a life jacket.

Here Comes the.......

Ring bearer and flower girls. Yes it is that time of year for weddings and the kids had the pleasure of being in one for the first time. My cousin Jennifer got married the 18th of July and asked the kids to be in it. Colton was a ring bearer along with his cousin Bennett and Jadyn and Jordyn were the flower girls. Colton and Bennett pulled the girls down the asile in a wagon due to the fact that Jordyn is still not walking yet and I didn't think at their age they would actually walk down the asile anyway. They all looked so cute dressed in their wedding best. Even though the girls were very fussy and cranky they looked adorable.

I'm So Smart!

Hey Colton here! Mom is letting me write on here again and I think it's cool. I just wanted to show everyone how smart I am getting. Yes, I talk up a storm and no one ever knows what I'll say next. I told mom the other day that "Molly (my kitty) has really taken a liken to me". And I like to tell her that "my girlfriend Kiley (who by the way is 10 yrs. older than me) and I like to just sit and have a pop". I do keep mom on her toes. I think that is good though. Anyway here is a video of me saying the days of the week. Mom says that she is very proud of me. Now I can say my address and phone number, spell my name, tell you when my birthday is and say the days of the week. Ya, I think I am pretty smart too. Enjoy the video!

Our Frist Pets

Hi everyone! It's Colton. Mom said that since sisters have written a post on here that it was my turn to write one. I wanted to tell you about our new pets. We have two new kittens. Mom and Dad said that sisters and I could each have one. So a couple of weeks ago we went and picked them out at a neighbors house. I wanted an orange one and I got to decide for sisters that they wanted a black one. The black one is not solid black, it has some colored spots on it. Then I got to name them. I knew right away that I wanted mine to named Fred. Then I had to help pick out a name for the black one. Mom helped and we decided on Molly. So now we have Fred and Molly and I love to pet them and carry them around. Jordyn gets real excited to see them too, but Jadyn just doesn't care too much. She is always to busy playing. I hope you enjoy the pictures of our new kittens.

Update Finally!

Wow! How time flies! It has been quite a while since our last post and quite a bit has happened. The kids are all growing so quickly. Jadyn has started walking on her own and talking a bit too. Jordyn still is just holing on and walking around things but she also likes to jabber. Some of Jadyn's words are Hi, bye-bye, (which both are very plain and easy to understand), up, and cup (which she says as hup). Jordyn likes to just point at things and shake her fist when she wants something. But her babbling skills are really good when she wants them to be. They both are on the go all the time. Colton is doing really good with his counting and letters. He is learning how to play games on the computer and loves it. He knows his address, phone number, and how to spell his name. He likes to help dad outside every chance he gets. Since having tubes put in his ears his hearing is completely back to normal and he seems to be pronouncing some of his letter sounds better. This is good because he loves to talk. As they all do!!

Easter

The girls did a pretty good job on the last blog, but one is asleep and the other is playing so I am doing the blog this time. We went to Hays the day before Easter so that we could get pictures taken, in which will be posted as soon as we get them, then stayed there so that we could go to church on Easter. Anyway on Saturday afternoon we went to my sister-in-law's mom's house because her and my brother and nephew were going to be there and that way the kids could spend time together. We then went back to her house for Easter Dinner after church. I think the kids had a good time. These pictures are from Saturday afternoon.

Check up Time

Hi every one! It's Jadyn and Jordyn. Mom decided to let us write the blog this time. She said that if we do a good enough job she might let us do it more often. Anyway, as you all know we are now 1 year old which means another check up at the doctor. And yes those painful shots. Lucky (or not) for us we have been sick so the doctor has not given us our shots yet. But we did get weighed and measured. I (Jadyn) weigh 20lbs 11oz and am 27 1/4" tall. That puts me in the 50th percentile for my weight and the 5th, yes I said 5th percentile for my length. Looks like I'm going to be taking after mom in height. Now it's my (Jordyn) turn. I weigh 21lbs 7oz and am also 27 1/4'' tall. So like my sister I also am in the 50th percentile for my weight and yes the 5th percentile for my length. I am still just a little heavier than my sister, but mom says thats because I'm not crusing around like my sister. I just haven't decided that I want to do that yet. But it won't be long so mom better watch out. The doctor said that we look good and seem to be pretty healthy (other than the nasty crud that has gotten every one down). We are right on track and right where we should be even though we are pretty short, thanks to mom. Well I hope we did good so that mom will let us write some more. Yea I (Jadyn) want to write again. I guess we'll see.

Our first hair cut

We have reached that time when the hair was starting to hang in their eyes and it was looking pretty shaggy. So I took them to get cute little girl hair cuts today. They did so well sitting in the chair. They didn't hardly move or make a peep. Here are before pictures and then in the chair.

Well the kids have celebrated their birthdays and what a fun time it was. We had quite a few family members at our home to help the kids celebrate. Colton is 3 and Jadyn and Jordyn are 1. I can't believe how time flies! Here are some pictures of the wonderful days.

It's been a while

It has been quite a while since I last posted on here, and to those of you who actually look at this I apologize. We lost our internet for two weeks and then we had family in town for the kids' birthday parties and I just did not have enough time to get to update. So now I finally am able to update our blog. I'll try to be better at keeping it more up to date.
